Installation

All mounting hardware is in the box. You need a 4 x 4 in treated lumber post at least 50 in long, available at any hardware store or lumberyard. Follow the Whitehall mailbox installation instructions (PDF) and the personalized plaque installation instructions (PDF). Shipping and returns

• Ships direct from the manufacturer in Michigan, usually within 1 to 3 weeks. Orders are processed within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, and tracking is emailed when your order ships.
• Made to order with your personalization. Custom items cannot be returned, and the order cannot be cancelled once manufacturing starts, so please check your spelling and numbers before you order.

Warranty

Whitehall Products will repair or replace a Whitehall mailbox or post, at its discretion, if it is found defective in material or workmanship. The warranty covers the original homeowner and needs proof of purchase and a photo of the defect. It does not cover misuse, accidents, improper mounting, road salt or chemicals, vandalism or extreme weather. Read the Whitehall warranty (PDF).

Is the post included?

Yes. The package includes the Whitehall Deluxe post with decorative brackets and a ball finial. You also need a 4 x 4 in treated wood post at least 50 in long and concrete, bought locally.

What can I put on the plaques and topper?

Side plaques: choose one line with up to five 4.5 in numbers, or two lines with up to five 3 in numbers above up to sixteen 1.25 in characters. Door plaque: up to five 1.75 in characters. Topper: up to sixteen 1.25 in characters.

Is it USPS approved?

Yes. The Capitol mailbox is approved by the Postmaster General (USPS Standard 7C). Check with your local postmaster before installing, since local rules on mailbox type and placement can vary.

Does the mailbox lock?

No. The Capitol mailbox is a non-locking, front-access mailbox. It is 20% larger than a standard mailbox, with room for small packages.

How long does it take to ship?

Each package is made to order with your personalization. It ships from Michigan, usually within 1 to 3 weeks, and we email tracking as soon as it ships.

Can I add the matching post cuff?
