Mailbox Empire is proud to be able to offer high-quality Jayco mailboxes produced by Jayco Industries.
Jayco Industries started as a home business in 1986, repairing and replacing old mailboxes in Southern California. Eventually, they transitioned their company to begin manufacturing their own designs under the "Letter Locker" brand, creating over 50 self-designed mailbox products with up to 15 options for each model within.
Their locking mailboxes are highly customizable since each item is handmade at their manufacturing facility in Southern California. They can accept large envelopes and many models can also accept small packages.
They are known for the high-security mailboxes that feature up to 5 security features in their heavy-duty locking mechanisms and a variety of different materials from Aluminum to Stainless Steel.
In addition to their collection of residential mailboxes, they also offer commercial mailboxes that can be customized to fit any need.

Materials
Jayco Industries Letter Lockers come with a wide variety of material options. The material choice will largely depend on your application, the amount of security that is required, placement location requiring additional rust resistance as well as budget since certain materials may be more expensive.
Aluminum
5052-H32 Alloy 12 Gauge .080 thick
This grade of aluminum is typically used for maritime, and aerospace and is the primary candidate for situations where failure sensitivity is critical. Its corrosion resistance is exceptional against seawater and salt spray which makes it ideal for cold climates where your mailbox is exposed to road salt during the winter.
Steel
Galvanneal 14 Gauge .074 thick
Galvanneal is a tough metal usually used for structural products such as car frames. Its zinc coating is more rust-resistant than galvanized steel and also offers additional durability traits making it ideal for security-conscious mailbox owners.
Heavy Duty Steel
Galvanneal 10 Gauge .135 thick
The heavy-duty steel option uses the same galvanneal except at almost twice the thickness. It is ideal for mailboxes where additional security is required.
Stainless Steel
304 Alloy 14 Gauge .075 thick
This stainless steel alloy is the same you will find in many of your kitchen appliances. It can withstand the corrosion from most oxidizing acids and features top-of-the-line tensile strength. The main drawback of using this material is that it is difficult to manufacture resulting in a steep price tag.
