Jayco Industries Super Letter Locker

A heavy-duty locking mailbox made in the USA by Jayco Industries. A rotating hopper door keeps hands out of your mail, and the large incoming slot takes big envelopes and small packages. Choose the material, lock level and front or rear access to fit your climate and security needs.

Material options

• Steel (14 gauge galvanneal): the durable standard and most popular choice. All welded.
• Aluminum (.080 thick): recommended for moist climates for its rust resistance. Riveted.
• Heavy Duty Steel (10 gauge): recommended for high-crime areas. All welded.
• Stainless Steel (14 gauge, #4 brushed): the most rust resistant, for very damp and freezing climates. Riveted.

Lock options

• Level 1 (included): USPS 5-pin cylinder lock with 3/16" stainless steel hook cam.
• Level 2: Medeco deadbolt and upgraded door. Steel and Heavy Duty Steel boxes get a 10 gauge steel door; aluminum and stainless boxes get a stainless steel door.
• Level 3: USPS 5-pin cylinder lock with an 11 gauge stainless steel cam and the patented Claw Locking Mechanism. Door made from two 14 gauge steel plates.
• Level 4: Medeco deadbolt with the Claw Locking Mechanism. Door made from two 14 gauge steel plates.

Other options

• Outgoing mail tray: if you do not use it, you can have it blocked off.
• Posts (sold separately): surface mount posts include a base plate, top plate and mounting bolts, for existing concrete. In-ground posts are longer, come with a top plate only and are set in a concrete pour, like a fence post.

• Orders are processed within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, and ship direct from the manufacturer. Tracking is emailed when it ships.

Frequently asked questions

Will packages fit?

Large envelopes and small packages go through the 10-3/4" W x 3-1/2" H incoming drop. The box holds about 1 to 2 weeks of mail.

How does it stop mail theft?

Mail drops through a rotating hopper door, so hands and objects cannot reach the mail inside. The recipient door locks, and you can upgrade to Medeco deadbolt and Claw lock options (levels 2 to 4).

Which material should I choose?

Galvanneal steel is the standard and most popular. Aluminum is recommended for moist climates. Heavy Duty Steel (10 gauge) is recommended for high-crime areas. Stainless steel is the most rust resistant, for very damp or freezing climates.

Is it USPS approved?

Yes, it is tagged USPS Standard 7C approved. Some optional smaller incoming slot sizes are marked not USPS approved, so keep a USPS-approved slot size if you want curbside delivery. Check with your local postmaster before installing.
